Ashland Police & Fire Reports

    Tuesday, 7:30 p.m. &

    A woman on the 300 block of Nevada Street said that someone tried to pry her driver's door open. There were pry marks on the door and the rubber seal was torn. Also, the lower radiator hose was cut.

    Tuesday, 9:47 p.m. &

    There was a report of a hit and run accident in the area of Alida Street and Blaine Street. A woman's truck had been struck on the front bumper by a white vehicle. A witness said that the vehicle was a white newer model sedan possibly a Honda civic. Officers were unable to contact the owner of the vehicle and it was not located during an extensive area check.

    Wednesday, 3:16 a.m. &

    Officers noticed a man standing near the door of a structure on Tolman Creek Road. Police contacted the man who had three warrants for his arrest. He was arrested and transported to Jackson County Jail.

    Wednesday, 4:47 a.m. &

    Police responded to the report of an unattended death at a known address. The individual involved appeared to have died of natural causes.

    Wednesday, 5:49 a.m. &

    Officers responded to another report of an unattended death. The individual involved appeared to have died of natural causes.

    Wednesday, 9:01 a.m. - An adult male reported vandalism to his business, the Lithia Way Texaco station.

    Wednesday, 10:50 a.m. &

    A man said that someone broke a window at a residence owned by his employer.

    Wednesday, 11:44 a.m. &

    A man reported the theft of his apple I-pod from his unlocked vehicle sometime during the previous night, while the vehicle was parked in his driveway.

    Wednesday, 4:08 p.m. &

    Officers responded downtown to a report of a highly intoxicated male. The man was taken into protective custody and lodged in the detox center.

    Wednesday, 4:37 p.m. &

    Between November 29th, 2007 and February 20th, 2008 someone has stolen mail from a man's mailbox on the 100 block of Nevada Street. Certain pieces f the resident's mail was found this date and was returned to the owner.

    Wednesday, 11:54 p.m. &

    A man intentionally damaged $650 worth of property belonging to another man, which resulted in a physical fight between the two. The fight resulted in minor cuts and bruises to both involved. One man was placed under arrest and lodged at Jackson County Jail for assault IV, harassment and criminal mischief II. The other man was cited and released charging assault IV and harassment. A woman associated with one of the men was arrested after she was found to have a valid warrant issued for her arrest for failure to appear on a criminal trespass charge.
