After a 14-year, 200-gig streak, Easy Valley Eight will play its last regular show at Standing Stone Brewing Co.
The 1940s-style big band will continue to play at the venue on and off, but no longer the first Saturday of every month. The show begins at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the eatery, 101 Oak St., Ashland.
The eight-piece band will present a nostalgic set of 1930s, '40s and '50s swing favorites, including ones by Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Les Brown.
Easy Valley Eight's current configuration is Warren Moore (tenor saxophone), Frank "Fritz" Hunnicutt (alto sax), Randy Hugdahl (trombone), Jim Maffett (trumpet), Phil Michael (baritone sax), Garrett Edmands (drums), Larry Cavalier (piano), Bruce McKern (bass) and Pam Lawson (vocals).
