FolkWorks magazine named James Hurley one of the "top 10 live acoustic male singer-songwriters in L.A."
The guitarist's impressive repertoire boasts elements of swing, contemporary pop and rock, and "British Invasion" music.
He will perform at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 23, at The Playwright Public House, 258 A St., Ashland.
On his 2010 release "Tempest in a Teacup," Hurley manages to incorporate a bit of social commentary along with his own philosophical insights and irreverent humor. For 12 weeks, the album was at the top of indie music and adult contemporary charts.
The cover to the show at The Playwright is $15. See www.jameshurleymusic.com or call 541-488-9128.
