    Men's Wrestling

Devin Poppen's efforts were the centerpiece of a monster road trip for the Southern Oregon men's wrestling team, and on Monday the junior 141-pounder was voted the Cascade Collegiate Conference Wrestler of the Week for the second time this season.

Poppen, ranked No. 4 at his weight in the NAIA, was perfect in six matches to improve to 15-4 overall. On Saturday at the Menlo Invitational, he helped the 13th-ranked Raiders beat out NCAA Division II opponent San Francisco State and No. 8 Menlo for the team title as the Outstanding Lightweight Wrestler of the Tournament, going 4-0 with a pair of wins by fall.

Prior to his first tourney win of the season, Poppen led the Raiders to back-to-back dual upsets on the road. His technical fall over Jarren Komac gave the Raiders the deciding bonus points in a 20-18 win at No. 6 Providence (Mont.) on Tuesday, and he defeated seventh-ranked Matt Weber, 4-2, in SOU's 26-15 win at No. 10 Montana State-Northern on Thursday.

The Oregon City product went to 5-1 in dual matches and helped the Raiders improve to 4-2.

They'll compete again this Thursday at Warner Pacific before traveling to Hastings, Neb., for Saturday's Hastings Duals.
